On The Green Restaurant in Stevenage

Bringing you quality British food

From an auspicious start

Our beautiful Grade 2 listed building has undergone significant renovation to make it into the beautiful restaurant it is today

Quality British food from local sources

Where possible we buy our food from local suppliers. Thus doing our bit for the environment but also ensuring that our ingredients are as fresh as they can be.

Book your table, it's yours for the whole evening

No need to rush your food; whether you turn up at 6 o’clock or 9 o’clock, your table is yours for the whole evening.

Enjoy great food and a great atmosphere

For parties, celebrations or just a romantic evening out On The Green offers all you need,

Delicious Food That You'll Really Love

Locally grown and sourced ingredients ensures that your food is fresh every time we cook for you.

Facing the Bowling Green in Stevenage’s Old Town, we’re located in a beautiful Grade 2 listed building.

Our mission is to bring modern British cuisine to Stevenage using seasonal, locally sourced where possible produce, with service which is good without being stuffy; a special occasion venue which doesn’t break the bank.

But please don’t expect table linen; we are committed to keeping our environmental footprint as small as it can be and washing table linen is detrimental to the watercourse and aqueous habitat; recycling paper napkins is much kinder.
