Where possible we buy our food from local suppliers. Thus doing our bit for the environment but also ensuring that our ingredients are as fresh as they can be.

Facing the Bowling Green in Stevenage’s Old Town, we’re located in a beautiful Grade 2 listed building.

Our mission is to bring modern British cuisine to Stevenage using seasonal, locally sourced where possible produce, with service which is good without being stuffy; a special occasion venue which doesn’t break the bank.

But please don’t expect table linen; we are committed to keeping our environmental footprint as small as it can be and washing table linen is detrimental to the watercourse and aqueous habitat; recycling paper napkins is much kinder.

We are changing online booking systems so if you try to book online via opentable and it tells you we have no tables, please do trying booking via the widget on our website or facebook page instead, or get in touch directly (call, email, text or fb message) as we may well have tables available, we have just blocked them out on the opentable system to avoid double bookings.

Wild boar steak served with parsnip puree, aubergines, savoy cabbage, parisienne potatoes, and a rosemary sauce – £19.00

Aubergine gratin – sliced aubergine backed with tomato sauce and cheddar cheese, served with parsnip puree, broccoli, chantenay carrots, parisienne potatoes, and basil pesto – £12.50
