It was a very exciting week this week as 2 new styles of beer were ready for sale at OTG.

We launched the Pail Ale about 6 weeks ago with the Porter Potty a couple of weeks after that.

The next one Paul brewed was the Belgian style saison 2Maard, which didn’t condition in the bottle quite as quickly as we thought it would, so needed an extra couple of weeks to be ready.  As Paul is brewing every 2 weeks, this meant that the next brew, the best bitter Bottom’s Up, was ready at the same time.

So we now have 4 styles of beer for diners to choose from (albeit that the Pail Ale has run out and the next batch will be available week commencing 7th August).

There is still another style which will be coming on stream soon, the double IPA Bombs Away, and during September we will be upgrading the equipment so that we can brew more volume in one go – all very exciting!!

The hops have gone mad too with near ideal weather for growing this year.  You don’t expect to get a harvest in the first year after planting but all bar one of the plants has cones so we are hopeful we will.
